Registration is now open to families who had a swimmer on the team the last year. The size of the team is limited based on available pool lane space for practice, so signup as soon as possible or you may lose your spot.
  • Open registration for new members begins Monday, February 6th (if spots are available).

    * Families receive a $10 discount for each additional child on team
    * Amount includes team swim suit and Champs T-Shirt
    • Checks must be made out to the City of Strongsville. If paying by credit card your registration form must include card type, card number, expiration date, V number, and name as it appears on the card.

  • Please do not come to the front desk to register your swimmer. We will be accepting mail in registration or you may drop off a registration packet at front desk.   Packet must include completed forms and payment.

 Calendar 2012 Upcoming Meets




CHAMPIONSHIP MEET: Saturday, July 14th

  • When:
    Swimmer must arrive by 7:00AM.  Warmups start at 7:40AM  and meet starts at 8:30AM.
    Where:
    Strongsville Rec Center

  • Special Instructions:
  • Please make sure your swimmers get plenty of rest on Friday.  A nice Pasta dinner is recommedned for giving your swimmer the fuel they need for the Champs meet. 
  • Our team area will be outside in the back of the Rec (near where Clerk of Course is).  It can be hot so please pack cool drinks for the long day.  The Rec Center provides nice tents for the swimmers to keep them out of the sun.  Please remember to pack an extra towel, spare set of goggles, nutritious snacks and drinks for your swimmer. We need to keep our swimmers hydrated especially in warm weather. Even though we will be outside, the swimmers do get chilled easily. Don't forget to bring your Sea Monkey apparel and other warm clothing.

    Kids--make sure to see a Jr. Coach to check-in and get your note cards with your events written on it! Also, remember to check the posters with your lane assignments for warm ups! They will be posted on deck at each meet, and lane lane assignments will not change.
  • Meet Volunteers:
    Please note that we do not have any Champs assignments which require parents to be on deck.  Therefore, please stay off the pool deck.  If there is an emergency, please get the attention of one of the coaches.  It is more than fine to spend the day with your swimmer in the team area.

Reminders 2012 Event Reminders:

  • Tuesday, April 3rd - Sea Monkey Swim Party and Suit Sizing:
    Reconnect with last year's Sea Monkeys and welcome your new teammates! We will also have sample suits for you to try on so you know what size to order. 
    • 5:00 - 9:00PM
  • TBA - Team and Individual Pictures:
    Individual photos will be taken, for those that want them, before and after the TEAM shot. Several packages are available in varying price ranges - Photographer Visual Sports Network
    • TEAM Picture will be taken at TBA Sharp!!!
    • Please Arrive by TBA to line up for the group shot
    • All swimmers must be present and Prompt!!!
    • Order forms will be placed in your mailbox
    • TEAM SUITS MUST BE WORN ON PICTURE DAY AND AT ALL MEETS
  • TBA - Picnic & Pool Party:
    • Begins at 5pm and dinner served at 6pm.
    • Barbecue Outside and Party Inside
    • $1/Person by June 7th; $3/person afterwards
    • Each family brings one dessert and one side dish
    • Bring your inflatable for some pool floating fun

    • Arrive at 5:45pm - meet outside Swings-n-Things' front gate

  • TBA - Breakfast of Champions:
    Breakfast will be served to your swimmer immediately following their regularly scheduled practice in Rec Center's Food Court area - all swimmers and families are welcome.

  • TBA - Awards Banquet:
    Dinner to honor our swimmer’s achievements.  Dinner catered by The Italian Village!:
    • Cost:  Ages 5-adult $7, Ages 4 and under FREE
    • Each Family must bring one dessert to share
    • Please RSVP by Monday, July 11.

  • TBA - Lock-in:
    Immediately following the Awards Banquet through Midnight, the Rec Center will be open to all Sea Monkeys and their families for swimming, basketball, games, movies and much more. Pizza, pop, and snacks will be provided.
    • $3 per person check payable to SRST
    • RSVP due by July 12th
